The Stories That Built You

The past explains your patterns.

Every person is shaped by the stories they lived before they could understand them.

You learned early what earned love, what drew attention, what created safety. Those lessons became patterns. They guided how you show up, how you protect yourself, how you reach for success.

It does not arrive fully formed in adulthood. It grows from the soil of your upbringing. The family you grew up in. The words you heard. The moments that stayed with you.

You cannot change those experiences. You can, however, listen to what they taught you. When you understand why certain moments still pull at you, you begin to see how they influence your choices today.

This is where your “why” emerges.

Now pause. Ask yourself a few quiet questions:
Which stories that I tell myself from my early life have shaped who I am today?
What parts of those stories still serves me?
Who shows up in hard moments, because …. it’s simply always been that way?

Awareness does not erase your past. Rather, it brings focus to it.

When you can understand your story without judgment, you begin to lead yourself with more clarity. The Inner Alliance grows stronger when each part of you finally feels seen.

The stories that built you are not cages.
They are teachers.
Learning from them is how you start to live your “why” with intention.

Next week, we will explore how to uncover that deeper thread—the constant reason that has been guiding you all along.
